What do staff do with technology and equipment that have been brought home and need to be transported back and forth?

Staff should work with their school administrators/supervisors to determine the necessary technologies needed to perform work duties. Only portable technology devices should be transported to and from employee work locations. Please review the Mobile Technologies Device Duties and Obligations.

Employees are reminded of the following:

  • Transport technology in a protective carrying case designed for the device
  • HCPSS-issued devices must not be left unattended in vehicles
  • HCPSS-issued devices must not be left unsecured on desks when an employee is away from their workspace for an extended period of time, or is not working in-person at their office building
  • Monitors are not portable, and should not be transported to and from an employee work location.
