HCPSS staff will be asked to self-swab both nostrils. MAKO staff will not be administering the nasal-pharyngeal swab test which gets inserted much farther up the nostril.
While the saliva test is not available at MAKO sites, the Howard County Health Department offers PCR testing using the FDA-authorized Azova saliva test kit.
Staff are not permitted to use take home test kits to meet the staff testing program requirement.
