What type of leave may I use while on a leave of absence?

Per HCPSS Policy 7100-IP, the following paid leave may be used for eligible employees as part of the approved FMLA leave in accordance with the negotiated agreements:

  • Sick leave must be used
  • Annual leave may be used
  • Personal leave may be used

Note: It is the employee’s responsibility to select what type of leave (sick, annual, and personal) they wish to use when requesting a leave of absence. If no options are selected on the request for leave of absence form, the Office of Human Resources will apply only the required leave types that are applicable to the employee’s leave of absence.
